ISLE OF WIGHT Postcodes and proposed itinerary

Proposed Route for a quick traveller

Day 1: London – Ferry Terminal – Isle of Wight

You arrive at the island, check in at the hotel and will have lunch. After 1 hour of rest we then drive to our first stop: Godshill, where you will have time on your own to explore. Terribly charming; Godshill Village is a very pretty and popular old village with many thatched houses and gift shops.

The Godshill Model Village:  PO38 3HH

Nestling in the gardens of the Old Vicarage is this beautiful Model Village of Godshill and Shanklin Old Villages as they were in yesteryear. The exquisite details include 1/10 scale houses, many with real thatched roofs; miniature trees and gardens; a Model Railway; an airship; a wind turbine and local characters going about their business. The 1 1/4-acre garden is landscaped with over 2,000 conifers, many treated with coarse bonsai to form a perfect setting for the models.
From here we will then take a short drive to Shanklin. This picturesque old village is famous for its association with the poet Keats and its chine (a natural feature formed by water cutting through the cliff). Here at Shanklin you will have time to buy and eat lunch at one of many of the quaint eateries.

You then will be going to Sandown Beach which is 10 minutes from the hotel if you book with us.
Sandown Bay is the name of the bay off the English Channel which both towns share, and it is notable for its long stretch of easily accessible golden sandy beach. It is the site of the lost Sandown Castle, Isle of Wight. Here you can enjoy the Pier at the fullest.

Day 02: Isle of Wight –Needles Battery – Charilift – Glass Factory – Pearl Factory

The Needles Park: PO39 0JD

The Needles is a row of three distinctive stacks of chalk that rise out of the sea off the western extremity of the Isle of Wight, England, close to Alum Bay. A lighthouse designed by Scottish civil engineer James Walker has stood at the western end of the formation since 1859.

Pearl Factory - PO30 4DD

They have something to suit everyone, with ranges of Freshwater, Akoya, Tahitian, South Sea and crafted pearls. Our gifted designers are always on hand to create bespoke items, tailor-made to your needs.
